Preston is perfect. He is very happy. So far, he has gotten attention 100 percent of his waking moments. (He is very tired at night from all of the daytime playing, walks, etc.!). He never leaves Ashton's side - she loves it! He has several new toys, his favorites being a cat-sized flamingo, and a larger gekko. As you told us he would, he gathers them and guards them! Ashton has a chaise lounge in her bedroom that he loves. We have a soft pink doggy bed that we put on the lounge for daytime relaxing - Preston gathers all his favorite toys and then hops into the doggy bed for relaxing! He watches Ashton's every move, and will crane his neck to see around you if you try to get between him and Ashton.
He is the big hit at our neighborhood Starbucks, and seems to be enjoying all of the attention. This morning we took him to Oona's Doggie Grooming and Spa. Oona was named the top dog groomer 2004 in 5280 magazine. We felt very comfortable with her. She has a great way with dogs, has groomed Papillons, and seems very sensitive. He is only getting a bath, and we'll have him back in 2 hours. She was attentive to our desire that his first experience there be easy for him. We have a standing Tuesday am appt. for him. Yesterday we took him to Wash Park. Preston had a ball. He especially thought it was fun that Ashton would chase the squirrels with him!
We love him, and he's being treated like a Prince!
