Huey and the news:
He continues to be a dog of outstanding temperament with no real bad habits.
Everyone loves him.....keeps good weight, never overweight, and Science diet continues to be his feed.
His health checks have been fine with no lameness or eye problems present.
Everything is going great, Vickie. Huey is stealing most every heart he
meets. He is wonderful promotion for the breed. I took him to a small town
parade yesterday. A little socialization in sound/sights/smell with the van
parked close so he'd have a quick getaway if overly stressed. He did very
well. Not too crazy about the bands but got used to all that commotion.
He hasn't had any accidents, responds well to the retractable lead for going poddy outside, and has gone wading in the lake. I know what you mean about him being the gardener.Good health, good weight, all around gardener type. As it is he lingers in the back yard sniffing out all of the interesting spring smells! He climbs in and out of the bushes, the hostas, the rocks, etc. I never told you this, Vickie, but I putter in the yard in my gardens as well. How wonderful it is to have Huey's company. I have a rock garden I'm putting in on the northside of the house and he will be there to "help."
I read your letter...and treasured the pictures...and couldn't believe how secure and sweet he was on our way home. Nary a whine or a cry or a bark or a peep out of him. I'm impressed. Absolutely trusting...and then it was my turn to cry. What a gift he is. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. We all love him. He continues to be a pal to my whole family, but follows me everywhere and sleeps at our feet every night. I thank you so much for being the kind of breeder you are. Our hearts runneth over... He is truly a class act. Keep breeding, Vickie. His temperament is exceptional. Take care. I have been at your website of late, enjoying all of the photos. The puppy photos just steal my heart. .
